BJD crew changes & updates

Hey guys, it's been quite a while! ...Again. Unfortunately I haven't had much inspiration nor energy for the blog lately, mainly due to all the stress from school stuff :/ But now that I'm almost done with my practical exams and the summer break is just 2 weeks away, I'll hopefully manage to be more active here XD

There are some changes happening in my BJD crew right now, so I thought I could write a post about that.

First of all, I decided to sell a few BJDs. Some of these are actually very dear to me, but I just haven't been inspired to do anything with them for years, so I thought that it's finally the time to just let go and find new homes for them ;___; I don't want to have any dolls in my crew just for the sake of them being pretty, I also need to feel inspired by them.

I'm planning to re-shell Marissa as one of Miyadoll's sculpts at some point and I know that I'm gonna miss Deri and Ruri for sure, so I might get them back if I ever find new sculpts for them (Souldoll?). For the others I don't have any "comeback" plans so far. For now they'll just exist as characters in our RP story :3

There's also a new arrival that I haven't posted about on my blog yet. I received Ryx, my Soom ID75 York around 6 weeks ago, but he arrived with a head that didn't match the rest of the doll at all >.< I was so disappointed that I didn't want to post the box opening pictures anywhere. I had to send the head and a hand (for color matching) back to Soom and wait for them to send me another head, which I finally received this week.

I still don't think that the match is 100% perfect, but it's not really noticeable anymore. Now I'm happy with Ryx and hoping to show him with a faceup soon~ ♥ He only has boxers and shoes so far, so I need to make some clothes for him as well XD I could've worked on something while I was waiting for the new head, but the disappointing situation didn't really inspire me to do anything for him... Now that everything's okay, I can finally feel myself getting inspired by this guy!

I got my Frappzilla wig order a little before the replacement head arrived and it was great to see that this wig fits him perfectly! ♥ I had been a bit worried about the fit, since ID guys have quite huge heads XD I loooove this wig~ ♥ I think I'll add some extensions to the back though, just to make it a little bit longer and even better looking.

Before I leave to spend this day with my parents, I wanted to share a few Christmas-themed photos with you guys~ ♥ These were taken and edited on yesterday already, since I'm leaving right in the morning and wouldn't have had time for that today :3

First of all, I took a photo with all of my Picconeemos~  Here you can also see my newest Picco girl that just arrived on Tuesday, but I didn't have the time for taking box opening photos. She's an Aika named Aimi, the one in the middle of the photo~ Now I have one of each Picconeemo face, except for Himeno which will be getting a new release next year and she'll definitely join the crew then!

Me and Sarg also took some pictures for the annual Christmas calendar project of Finnish BJD forum, our day was the 24th - just like last year ^^ Since the weather outside is far from the "white Christmas", we decided to create a small Christmas set-up with some fake snow. Hopefully these photos bring at least some Christmas atmosphere to those people who don't have any snow~

Sarg posed the dolls, while I was taking the photos :3 It's fun to do things together~ Sarg has said that she enjoys posing the dolls more than photographing herself, while it's often the opposite to me XD I guess we make a good team, hahah...

On behalf of all tooth fairies, Lili wants to remind us that we need to remember to brush our teeth extremely well on Christmas, since we often eat many sweet things, like gingerbreads XD (I feel bad how little attention this girl has gotten from me... I've even thought about selling her a few times, but every time I look at her, I just can't do it ;___;)

I won Tony from Soom in their last year's Christmas photo contest and wanted to take a photo that I could send them to wish them merry Christmas ^^

Of course I had to snap a few photos of Chici as well, since she has her own winter hat and scarf! ♥ This was Chici's first time in the snow, so she got a bit too excited...

Little tooth fairy

I took some quick photos of Lili yesterday :3 She's already had her faceup ready for a little while, but I was too lazy/tired to take photos earlier... 

I'm so deeply in love with this doll~ ♥ She's so cute and always brings a smile to my face with all her adorableness! I have a feeling that I might need to get another Tiny Delf as a sister/friend for Lili at some point... >////<

But yeah, like the post title implies, Lili is a tooth fairy :3 Sarg even made some little teeth for her and a little "pouch" where she can keep her collection hahah XD

Now I have the weekend off from work, so more time to focus on doll thingies, yay~

Photo spam from the weekend

Like I mentioned in the end of my previous post, I was at Sarg's for the weekend and we had so much fun :3 Work has kept me busy (and tired) for the past few days, so I haven't really had the energy to write this post until now...

Anyways, I had a couple of dolls with me so we took some pictures~

Here are my Cressida (Soom Mecha Angel Bellatrix) and Sarg's Pandora (Twigling Ingenieuse). In our story Cressida is the Queen and Pandora is her beloved pet/bodyguard/lover/servant/etc. you name it, they're really close ♥ These were their first photos together, but hopefully we'll be able to take more soon~

Cressida does have a husband (what would a queen be without a king, huh), but he's been quite busy with all of his duties that he barely has time for his wife :/ Cressida needs a lot of attention and affection, which she now gets from Pandora... Lorrence doesn't know (at least for now) how deep their relationship actually is >.< Despite everything Cressida does love her husband dearly and would never leave him, even for Pandora...

Pandora also met little Chici XD Their stories are not connected in anyway, so this is totally OOC... But I just couldn't resist taking a random shot of them XD

Another doll that we took photos of is the newest faery in my doll family, Twyla (Soom Faery Legend Asis) ♥ She was a dream doll of mine for a long time and now I finally have her, my lovely little pastel goth ;___; Sarg has taken a liking to her as well, which I'm really happy of x3

Character-wise Twyla is a bit timid and shy, but very clever and mature for her age (she's the youngest among my faeries). She's a "twilight fairy", her wings produce dream dust which helps people, especially children, sleep better at night and see sweet dreams~ You could say that she's something like the Sandman in European folklore XD

Twyla's faceup and dress were made by me, Sarg painted the wings and also put the hairband together, based on my instructions XD (I suck with glue, so I try to leave it to her whenever I can...)

I'm really happy with her and need to take more photos of her soon~ Sarg always has the most awesome props for any doll and the lighting is better at her place too, I need to do some thinking what kind of set-up I could build for Twyla at home XD

On another note, look what I got from Sarg!! It's a cute little bag shaped like a pink candy house ;3; I've admired that bag for all this time me and Sarg have known each other, she has carried some props and stuff in it sometimes. On the weekend we put Lili to "sleep" inside the bag for the nights and she looked so at home in there that Sarg said I could have the bag ;____;

Here's what it looks like from the outside asasasasd!! I love this bag so much XD It'll be the perfect carrier for my smaller dolls~ Thanks so much again, dear ♥♥♥

Besides taking photos we just played around with our dolls, chatted, watched TV and played Thief on PS3 :3 Aaand we also briefly visited the center of Helsinki on Sunday because they lighted up the city's Christmas lights! I'm not much of a Christmas person... All the carols playing everywhere nearly drive me crazy each year, but I do love the prettiness of Christmas lights and decorations ;3; And presents are also nice, of course XD

I also found the most adorable Hello Kitty chocolate advent calendar ;___; It was 50% off at a candy store we went to, I just couldn't leave it there... Besides chocolate it also has some surprise toys inside! I'm such a child at heart, hahah XD

Luts Gretel elf box opening~

My Luts Tiny Delf Gretel elf FINALLY arrived today!! She was shipped exactly 2 weeks ago, so this was quite a long waiting for an EMS package u.u I was getting so worried that she might've been lost or stolen, since the tracking didn't update at all after the flight dispatched... But apparently it was just some typical pre-Christmas delay or something.

I ordered Lili in real skin brown, which is the lightest tan skin that Luts offers :) I'd never seen Luts' tan skin in person, only in photos, so I wasn't sure if I was making the right choice, but now I do think that this was indeed the best choice~

This box is super adorable ♥♥ I had seen what the Tiny Delf box look like in other Tiny Delf box opening, but somehow I didn't remember it at all and it kinda surprised me XD If that makes any sense lol...

Here she is, and isn't she adorable ;____; It was an instant bonding from the moment I first looked at her... This is my first doll ever in this size and I immediately fell in love, she most likely will want a friend in the same size sometime in the future X'D

I also ordered these "Yay" hands for her~ I have an addiction to this hand sign XD If I buy a doll which has these available as an option, I must get them every time...
