May Day donut party!

Happy May Day guys, I hope you've all had a great weekend (whether or not you celebrate May Day in your country)! It's quite a big holiday in Finland, but me and Sarg haven't done much celebrating - we decided to leave that to the Neemos and take some photos of them!

Donuts are one of the most typical treats for May Day, at least here in Finland, and we wanted to include them in this photoshoot. I've been wanting to take some photos with my kitchen Re-ments and this was a perfect chance to do that. At first we thought about taking just one photo where the Neemos are eating some donuts, but then we got this idea of a full photoshoot where the girls are making the donuts themselves :) Luckily it's been really sunny during this weekend and we've had a lot of natural light, which made it possible to take these photos in the first place :3

Sarg did most of the posing, while I did most of the planning, took the photos and acted as a director hahah XD We had so much fun, Neemos always bring smiles to our faces~

Mayuna & Harumi: "YEEEEEES!! ^____^"

Kaori: "We're starting with the dough. This can be a bit challenging, so watch carefully..."

Mayuna: "Ugh, it's sticky :I"

Harumi: "Should we use more flour? D:"

Mayuna: "I can't... This dough is stuck on my hands ^^;;"

Harumi: "This is not working..."

Harumi & Mayuna: "Please help! :c"

Kaori: "Oh my..."

A few minutes later...

Kaori: "Okay, now you should shape the dough like this. Start by making a ball..."

Harumi: "I got this!"

Mayuna: "Is it okay if mine is not so pretty? ;___;"

Kaori: " Don't worry, at least you're trying your best :)"

Kaori: "Now that we have a baking tray full of donuts, let's get ready for the next step!"

Kaori: "We need to boil some oil in a pot and we're going to put those donuts in it..."

Miu: "Oh, what's this?? Are they making something yummy?? *w*"

Kaori: "Remember to be careful with this step, look closely what I'm doing here..."

Miu: "I wanna try too!!"

Mayuna: "Miu, this is too dangerous for you >.<"

Kaori: "Harumi, you can try this now. I'm gonna call your friends now and tell them that they can come over soon ^^"

Mayuna: "I'll go to the toilet, be right back!"

Miu: "Can I eat them already?! :3"

Harumi: "N-no... You must wait for the others to arrive..."

Mayuna: "Hey, let me try now!"

Harumi: "O-okay, be careful..."

Mayuna: "Wait what?! Where are the donuts?!"

Harumi: "I put them right there, I swear ;___;"

Kaori: "Hmm..."

Kaori: "A-ha! We have a little thief here!"

Mayuna: "I knew it..."

Miu: "Nononononooo, it tickles!!"

Kaori: "Try to behave now, Miu. You can eat the donuts soon, just wait a little bit."

Miu: "Okaaay~ ♪"

After some time...

Harumi: "Who wants some tea? ^.^"

Mayuna: "Hope you like the donuts!! I covered the dark ones with some chocolate!"

Kaori: "I'm glad you could all come over~"

Miu: "Yay, finally donuts!!"

Sayuri: "This looks really pretty :3 I'm sure it tastes good as well~"

Miu: "I ate already, thank you for the fooood!"

Kaori: "Miu, don't leave the table with that mug!!"

Aurora: "It was delicious! Should I take another?"

Fumiko: "I'm such a slow eater, still at my first donut ^^;"

Kaori: "There's no hurry girls! We have the whole evening to eat and chat ^^"

Harumi: "Would somebody like some cookies too?"

And that's how their donut adventure went XD A few mysteries remain unsolved, like who took care of all the dishes and who cleaned the dough and flour from the floor... I also really hope that the girls threw away the donuts that Miu stole, hahah. No one would want to eat donuts that were on the floor XD (except maybe Miu...)

Things don't always go so smoothly... Especially when there are so many dolls in the photos, situations like this are bound to happen ^^; There is some real juice in the drinking glass and it miraculously stays in there even when Kaori pushed it over while falling...

Amiami February 2016 loot

I got this package home and took all the pictures last week, but wanted to post all the Easter stuff first :) This way it's also not just posts about new stuff, there are a few photo posts in-between, hahah!

Here's my February loot: Umaru Nendoroid, Sophie prize figure, Re-ment school desk + accessories, and some clothes for my Azones :)

Let's start with the Re-ment school desk and accessories since those are the things that I was most excited about in this order! I'd been wanting the school desk for quite a while, but the original release seemed pretty rare and was going for insane prices at the second-hand market... Then the re-release was announced! I'm sure many people who collect Re-ments were happy about the possibility of getting the desk for an affordable price thanks to this re-release ^3^

There are some differences between the two releases (found this comparison photo from Flickr) and I actually like this new version a lot more. The color is more to my liking and I also like how the "shelves"/upper parts come apart and the desk's look can be altered. I did like the lamp on the older version though, it's a shame that this version doesn't have one. Another thing that I liked about the old version is that it has some soft padding on the chair. I think I'll try to make a little pillow for the chair myself :)

Although I took the picture above with a Picconeemo, this desk is also perfect for Pureneemos. I haven't taken more pics yet, but once I do, I can show how the desk looks with them!

Next, let's take a look at the Umaru Nendoroid! She just has so many great face expressions and accessories - couldn't resist! Me and Sarg have been enjoying the anime and this Nendoroid fits Umaru's character perfectly :) If you haven't watched Himouto Umaru-chan, I do recommend checking it out! It's a great slice-of-life series full of fun moments~

More of Umaru's necessaries, like pudding and a PSP console XD The PSP can actually be used as a prop for Picconeemos/Pureneemos and other tiny dolls!

Then we have this Sophie prize figure that I snagged from Amiami's preowned section :3 Sophie is my favorite character from Pri Para and as far as I know, this is the only non-chibi figure released of her so far. Why no more love for Sophie? :< I do hope that there'd be at least one pretty scale figure of her in the future!

She only cost around 10€, which surprises me since the quality seems great!

Clara also got this pretty dress, which she was wearing in the Easter photo already. Besides the dress, I just got a few basic socks so nothing special to show XD

I was thinking that my March order might get shipped soon, but then noticed that one of the pre-order figures had been delayed to April... There's also one Pureneemo clothing set that isn't in stock yet. Good thing that I don't have an April order, otherwise next month would be quite overwhelming XD

Happy New Year~! ♥

First post in 2016, yay~ Happy New Year everyone! ♥ Hope you all had a nice time celebrating and this year has started well for you! We didn't do anything special, just stayed at home doing the same stuff as usually and ate some snacks :3 We could see the fireworks quite nicely from our living room window too!

I also took some photos yesterday, but ended up not having the energy to go through and edit all of them at once ^^; I put together this little diorama for my Picconeemos, they obviously wanted to have their own New Year's celebration party! Building the set-up was super fun again - if you can't tell from the photos, I've become quite addicted to collecting Re-ments and other miniature stuff... This is like a small corner of Miu's room, hopefully one day I get to make complete rooms as well! ♥

Sarg helped me with the posing again :3 It's so handy to have her pose the dolls, while I'm on the other side of the camera and tell her which way the girls should be looking at etc.

Looks like the food was tasty enough for the girls to eat it all :'D At this point they probably left outside to watch some fireworks~

I still need to make that post about my goals for 2016 and also have a new photoshoot of Susumi that I took today... Lately Azone dolls and Dollfie Dreams have been more inspiring to photograph for me, but I have many BJD photoshoot ideas in mind for this year ^^

This is Halloween!

I'm a bit late to the party, but happy Halloween everyone~ ♥ Even though it's not celebrated that much here in Finland, me and Sarg absolutely love it :D Luckily this holiday has gotten more popular during the last few years and there is a lot of Halloween related stuff (decorations, candy, costumes, etc.) for sale everywhere, we even managed to find some things that we can use for dolls!

Anyway, we prepared for this Halloween photoshoot for a few weeks by gathering the needed supplies and crafting decorations little by little. Some of the things weren't ready until yesterday, though X'D The idea was for a few of our Azone girls to have a fun Halloween party with costumes, snacks and decorations that fit the theme~ First I'll show you these photos and then talk more about the preparations we did :)

After this, the party got pretty wild... Seems like the girls got too much sugar, we probably should've made them some salty snacks as well ^^; As always, the trouble seemed to get started by the Picconeemos hahah...

....And this is when we decided that the party is over :'D

Some of the girls are wearing Azone's own clothing, but some of the stuff is self-made. I wanted to take photos of the ones that I sewed and show them in a bit more detail, even though they're nothing special.

These are probably the simplest Halloween costumes ever... I just cut random pieces of white cotton fabric and then cut eye holes on it :D It doesn't look so neat, but we thought it'd be fun if the outfits looked like the dolls made these themselves lol. We chose Kirari and Mayuna to be the ghosts since they're both Maya and have the same eye color, if you couldn't see their hair it'd be difficult to tell them apart!

Yui's mummy costume is probably the strangest doll related thing that I've ever done... I mean, you don't often cut many strips of white fabric and cover a doll with it almost completely :''D But for such a simple costume, it actually looks quite fun! It would've been even more fun to mix in some fake blood, but I didn't want to risk her body getting stains. Maybe next year I could try to do that with one of my resin dolls?

This is actually the only "proper" costume that I made, even though I had planned to make several ^^; I just run out of time... We imagined that Aurora is the one who organized the party, so of course she wanted to put on a pretty costume :3 Last year I made a pointy hat like this for my Soom Sweet Witch (Derinda), so it was easy to use the same pattern, just in smaller scale~

The biggest work was with all treats! What would a Halloween party be without Halloween themed snacks to eat >3<

Most of the candy and other treats are self-made, there are just a few Re-ment additions :) I didn't take close-ups from everything, just a couple of my favorite things!

We made a bunch of different candies - simple round balls and marshmallows in different color variations

Sarg made the best Halloween cake ever! ♥ I can't believe how she just made this from scratch without using any reference *o*

She also made another cool cake, this one even has a piece that you can put on a plate for the doll to eat!

Recently we have also gotten interested in felting and these three little cats are the first things we've made :) We even gave them cute names lol... The biggest one is Tohvi, the dark one in the middle is Toope and the other small one is Juju.

We were also planning to take some pictures of our three Iplehouse girls (Terra, Brenda and Jade), but decided to leave that for later, as the photoshoot with Neemos took quite a lot of time and energy ^^; So, hopefully sometime next week we'll have the time to take those photos and share them! They won't be Halloween related anyway, although I made a new tank top for Sarg's Terra from the cutest "monster" themed fabric that I found XD
