Anyway, we prepared for this Halloween photoshoot for a few weeks by gathering the needed supplies and crafting decorations little by little. Some of the things weren't ready until yesterday, though X'D The idea was for a few of our Azone girls to have a fun Halloween party with costumes, snacks and decorations that fit the theme~ First I'll show you these photos and then talk more about the preparations we did :)
Group shot of the party girls!
Watch out, Basil the turtle is trying to run away :DD
Apparently the cake is (or was..) good!
Poor Red Ridinghood got scared of the Wolf >3<
After this, the party got pretty wild... Seems like the girls got too much sugar, we probably should've made them some salty snacks as well ^^; As always, the trouble seemed to get started by the Picconeemos hahah...
....And this is when we decided that the party is over :'D
Some of the girls are wearing Azone's own clothing, but some of the stuff is self-made. I wanted to take photos of the ones that I sewed and show them in a bit more detail, even though they're nothing special.
These are probably the simplest Halloween costumes ever... I just cut random pieces of white cotton fabric and then cut eye holes on it :D It doesn't look so neat, but we thought it'd be fun if the outfits looked like the dolls made these themselves lol. We chose Kirari and Mayuna to be the ghosts since they're both Maya and have the same eye color, if you couldn't see their hair it'd be difficult to tell them apart!
Yui's mummy costume is probably the strangest doll related thing that I've ever done... I mean, you don't often cut many strips of white fabric and cover a doll with it almost completely :''D But for such a simple costume, it actually looks quite fun! It would've been even more fun to mix in some fake blood, but I didn't want to risk her body getting stains. Maybe next year I could try to do that with one of my resin dolls?
This is actually the only "proper" costume that I made, even though I had planned to make several ^^; I just run out of time... We imagined that Aurora is the one who organized the party, so of course she wanted to put on a pretty costume :3 Last year I made a pointy hat like this for my Soom Sweet Witch (Derinda), so it was easy to use the same pattern, just in smaller scale~
The biggest work was with all treats! What would a Halloween party be without Halloween themed snacks to eat >3<
Most of the candy and other treats are self-made, there are just a few Re-ment additions :) I didn't take close-ups from everything, just a couple of my favorite things!
We made a bunch of different candies - simple round balls and marshmallows in different color variations
Sarg made the best Halloween cake ever! ♥ I can't believe how she just made this from scratch without using any reference *o*
She also made another cool cake, this one even has a piece that you can put on a plate for the doll to eat!
Pumpkin lollipops with faces~
And Jack Skellington lollipops XD All of them have a face with different emotion!
Recently we have also gotten interested in felting and these three little cats are the first things we've made :) We even gave them cute names lol... The biggest one is Tohvi, the dark one in the middle is Toope and the other small one is Juju.
We were also planning to take some pictures of our three Iplehouse girls (Terra, Brenda and Jade), but decided to leave that for later, as the photoshoot with Neemos took quite a lot of time and energy ^^; So, hopefully sometime next week we'll have the time to take those photos and share them! They won't be Halloween related anyway, although I made a new tank top for Sarg's Terra from the cutest "monster" themed fabric that I found XD
Hope you guys had a great Halloween weekend, even if you don't celebrate it! ♥
Hello, Happy Halloween! Wow, this was quite a party, the costumes are great and you added so many awesome accessories! Greetings from Belgium!
ReplyDeleteHappy (late) Halloween to you as well and thank you for your lovely comment~ ♥ Greetings to Belgium!
Kiitoksia kovasti~ Mukava kuulla, että kuvista välittyy oikeanlainen Halloween-tunnelma :3 Koitettiin tosiaan valoilla sun muulla saada oikeanlaista väritystä kuviin!
DeleteTää huovuttaminen on yllättävän helppoa! Youtubesta löytyy paljon kaikkia kivoja tutoriaaleja, esim. "needle felting cat" hakusanoilla löydettiin ohjeet näihin kissoihin :)
Hi Safir,
ReplyDeleteOh my! You and Sarg have been busy, so many wonderful Halloween creations, I love them all! The party photo shoot was fabulous, you always do your shoots so well, you must have lots of patience to take so many different photos.
This post was so much fun to read, thank you for sharing everything. :)
Hugs,
X
Hi! :) It's fun to use the free time we have by doing different crafts~ I'm actually really bad at concentrating on something and rather impatient too, but photography really helps me a lot and has taught me patience! Azone dolls are quite easy to pose too and it's so much fun to play around with them~
DeleteThank you for reading and commenting, it's lovely to hear that you enjoyed the photos! ♥
These are so fun! The wild party pictures made me laugh--and you made so many little things! Everything looks wonderful, even the tiny, tiny cookies. And now that you are felting, all the girls can have pets! <3 You Halloween looked very happy!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! ♥ This was a really fun photoshoot to make and we had a great Halloween indeed, hope you did too ^^
DeleteOh what great photos! I love the costumes you made for the dolls. I had wanted to make a Witch's hat for one of my girls too but couldn't really figure out how to make one without a pattern!
ReplyDeleteAll the treats look super tasty, no wonder the party turned a bit wild! I love the last photo of the party with one of the girls hanging upside down. It looks very amusing especially that expression.
Great work on the little felt cats. You used needle felting to make those? I've watched a few tutorials on that. Looks interesting, dangerous if you get your fingers caught though!
Thank you :) I actually thought about making a tutorial for the witch hat, but I'm really bad at explaining things and have no idea if I'm even doing things the "correct" way, so I decided against it in the end... But I'm sure there are a plenty of tutorials out there, at least for human hats and you could easily adapt that to doll size!
DeleteNext time we know better not to give too much sugar to the Neemos ;D Hahah that last photo is probably my favorite from this set XD The whole shoot was really fun to do though.
Yes we needle felted the cats :) There are many great tutorials on Youtube and I've seen DIY kits for sale that come with the needed supplies for a specific project. We're planning to purchase one of those to try to make a few cute jellyfish XD
Happy (late) Halloween~ I love every single pictures that you took, and your witch costume is amazing! I'm awed by all the Halloween props, especially those cakes. ^-^
ReplyDeleteThank you, happy (late) Halloween to you too :3 Love to hear you liked the pictures and props~
Delete"Wow, that escalated quickly" were my thoughts as I scrolled down the party pictures. Hahaha, I wonder what crazy games they were all playing!
ReplyDeleteGreat set-up and I adore all the little candies and cakes you guys made x33 Also, felted kittens~~~ So cuuute!
Hahah it really did XDD I think the girls were at least playing chicken fight, ghosts vs. mummy & skeleton... No idea about the other games X'D
DeleteThank you dear~ ♥
No nyt kyllä propeissa löytyy, ihan mahtavia, etenkin nuo kakut!
Kiitos kiitos ^^ Tätä kaikkea pikkutilpehööriä on kiva askarrella ja keräillä pikku hiljaa~ Tässä onkin sitten jo kaikkea valmiina ensi vuoden Halloweenia varten myös!
DeleteJoo on katseltu noita valmispakkauksia myös, ajateltiin ostaa sellainen söpö josta voi tehdä meduusoja XD ♥ Noi sun linkkaamat kissat näyttää vähän monimutkaisemmilta, mutta tuolta löytyy aloittelijoille sopivia helpompia versioita myös ja Youtubessa on paljon tutoriaaleja :)
Happy Halloween!! Loved the story hahaha, your Azones are far too cute!!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a nice day :D
Happy (late) Halloween to you as well~ Azones are really fun to take photos of ♥
DeleteWe had a great day, hope yours was too! ^^
Great photos!! Happy late halloween for you too!!
ReplyDeleteLoved the mummy costume and the cakes :D
Thank you, same to you ^w^
DeleteHaha wonderful photos! XD
ReplyDeleteThey seem like a merry lot.
Here in Denmark we also do not celebrate Halloween, but its become quite popular to go to dress up parties - like in your photos ;D - I love dress up parties! *^^*
Thank you ^^
DeleteHalloween dress up parties organized by friends seem quite popular nowadays here too, both for kids and adults! I'm really happy that Halloween has become more popular in general too, when I was a kid there was hardly anything Halloween related :/
I love your photos. :D I love the story too.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day!
Bai, Shiki
[Beauty and Destroy]
Thank you so much :)
ReplyDelete- Jessy
Kiitos kiitos x3 Noi herkut on kyllä hirmu pieniä, jätin suosiolla haastavimmat Sadulle ja tein ite noita yksinkertaisia nameja ja pyöreitä keksejä jne. XD Mutta hauska noita on näperrellä!
Halloween on kiva, tahtoo viettää! :D
ReplyDeleteHahaha tää on kyllä ihan paras shootti!
Askartelu on parasta!
