This year I didn't have the time nor energy to come up with a new Christmas photo shoot, so I'm just posting some older photos that I haven't shared before ^^; (even though these were taken a year ago...)

Picconeemo Halloween party

I think in most countries the "official" Halloween was celebrated on October 31st, so I'm just a little bit late with these photos ^^; I did take them in time, but once again the editing took a bit more time than I had expected... I'm currently practicing shooting and editing in RAW (now that I finally have a Photoshop version that can actually open those files!) and while I've done plenty of that at school, it's much more difficult on my laptop because all the settings are such a mess >.< So yeah, it'll still take me some time and practice to get everything just the way I want, after that things will be a lot faster and easier :)

But back to the subject of this post, Halloween! I absolutely love Halloween, have always loved it, and I've been happy to notice that it keeps getting more and more popular here in Finland :) Many stores have a selection of Halloween goodies, such as themed food, candy, decorations (which often can be used as doll-sized props) and even clothes! Me and Sarg didn't buy any new decorations this year, but we tried out some french fries and chicken nuggets that were shaped like different Halloween creatures XD Those were actually quite yummy! Oh and we also got a tiny bat and ghost that were originally hair clips (from H&M), they are perfect doll-sized plushies~ On the photo below, you can see Miu holding the ghost and the bat is on top of the pumpkin lantern >:3

A close-up of the table! Besides the tableware, everything is self-made (by either Sarg or me). Sarg even made that awesome pumpkin "basket" for the lollipops! *o* Most of this stuff was already made a few years ago, we didn't have a lot of time to make more this year...

July meet-up with friends

Last Sunday I was at a small meet-up that Tsuki organized! There were six of us (me, Sarg, Tsuki, Tiinyan, Xaya and Shara) and a bunch of lovely dolls ♥

I only had my phone camera, so unfortunately the photo quality is not the best possible... But since we were outside, I guess it doesn't look too bad ^^; These photos are mainly for capturing the memory anyway, so maybe they don't even need to be the highest quality!

We managed to fit all the food and dolls on one table :D 

Xaya had made such yummy blueberry pie! *o* I wish I had taken a close-up of it (love taking photos of food, hahah), but of course I ate it without thinking... So, the only evidence of the pie ever existing can be found from this photo XD

Tsuki showed us some stuff she had for sale and I ended up buying this table & chairs set and some food props that are perfect size for both Picconeemo and Pureneemo :3 Only a few of the props are pictures here, though.

Cherry blossoms 2017

Me and Sarg visited the local cherry blossom park a few weeks ago and got to see the lovely flowers in full bloom \o/ I guess visiting there has become a yearly tradition for us, I've also made a post from our visits in 2016 and 2015.

The weather was very sunny, which made photographing quite a challenge... Half of the time I couldn't even see the camera screen properly, lol. It would've been nice if it was at least a little bit cloudy ^^; But still, while some of the photos failed miserably, some turned out quite nicely!

I had one of my DD girls with me~ It was hard to choose which one to bring, but I ended up picking Shira since I thought this yukata would look great on her :3 And I haven't taken any proper photos of her yet, so it was her time to get some attention!

All the pictures of Emi turned out quite crappy and overexposed :<  I'm a bit sad about it, especially since I had just gotten that cute Pureneemo sized parasol and you can't really see the pretty flowers that Sarg painted on it...

I made some Picconeemo sized yukatas recently and thought that these colors suit Rina-chan perfectly~ I'm also really happy that Azone released those zori sandals in Picconeemo size! ♥ Ended up ordering a bunch of them, they can easily be colored with acrylics too for more different colors *3*

I also took some photos of the flowers itself. Cherry blossoms are so beautiful, I wish we could have one (or two, hahah) of these trees on our own yard ;___; ♥

Snow Queen Mia & Picco Raili

Double box opening incoming!! :D I got both of these girls this week and thought that I'd introduce them in the same post, although that unfortunately caused this to get a bit picture-heavy...

First up is Snow Queen Mia, who arrived one day before little Raili. This is one of my favorite fullsets from Azone so far and I knew from the moment I saw the first photos of her that I'd have to get her >.<

Her box design is sooo beautiful! ♥

The story leaflet

Although I can't read Japanese well enough to translate the story (maybe one day?), I find it fun to try to guess what happens based on just the photos XD

An overview of her outfit, which I think looks really pretty! ♥

But one thing I must say is that her boots are such a pain to get on her feet... They're so tight and don't open at all ^^; I did manage to get them on in the end, but it did take some time... Try to put the shoes on without socks and the poor feet would be lost inside the boots forever, hahah :DD

She has such lovely, long hair~ ♥

She is definitely well-prepared for the Finnish winter! :D It's been around -15 celcius here on some days (and even colder in the northern parts of the country), so a warm cape is a must!

This version is actually the first Mia with this kind of mouth, all the previous ones have been smiling. It's a nice little change, especially since I already have one smiling Mia, so this way they don't look too similar :)

Speaking of similarities... Here's a photo with Sayuri (Swan Lake Raili)~ I was thinking that these two would be good friends, but they actually look like they could be even relatives D: The name that I picked for Mia is Kaede, which means "maple" in Japanese, while Sayuri means "water lily"... So even their names make them seem like relatives XD I need to think about this a little bit!

And a quick comparison of the skin tone difference! Mia is usually normal skin, but the white skin definitely works much better for this Snow Queen version and looks good with her hair color :3

Moving on to Picconeemo Raili~
She was actually supposed to be released last December already, but got delayed a few times for some reason. I don't remember this happening before with any of the Azone dolls that I've pre-ordered, so it was quite a surprise. But now she's home at last! ^3^

I picked her up from the post office on Friday evening, but it was already too dark for photos so I had to wait until next morning to open her :<

Raili is the second Picconeemo to be released with this improved body and the first one to have an improved M body, as well as the first to be in white skin. I didn't remember to take a photo, but she did come with a selection of extra hand parts! Which is a good thing, since I only had the hand parts for the new body in normal skin XD

Rina: "Oh, right~ I feel much better now!"

Miu: "This arrow is saying that you took a plane from Finland to Japan... but didn't you just come to Finland from Japan? @.@"

Rina: "Yes I did! But in Azone's story I'm an exchange student from Finland :3"

Miu will make sure that Rina adapts well to the Picconeemo family ^^ At least these two seem to be getting along well~

Now that I have both the old and new Picconeemo bodies in S and M size, I could take a comparison photo of them... I feel like the new M body is about the same height as the old S, if not even shorter, but it's hard to say until I compare them side by side without any clothes or shoes. Not sure if I'll make a whole post about it, but at least I'll upload the comparison photo on my Flickr once I have some time :)
