Dollybird vol.23

Just a quick post about the Dollybird vol.23 magazine that I just picked up from the post office ^^ It's actually more like a book, there are 112 pages! This was the first Dollybird for me and overall the first doll related magazine that I've purchased. Figured that I could share some photos of the magazine, I know that some of my friends have been waiting to see more photos of the upcoming Azone girls :3

As I'm writing this, the magazine still seems to be available on Hobby Search and HLJ (low stock), so get yours while you can!

The beautiful cover featuring Otogi no Kuni Aika ♥

Seeing how the outfit pieces can be either used together or separately makes me even more excited for this girl! I love the black outfit so much! ♥ I think she was originally supposed to be released this summer, but now the release date has been moved to early 2017?! o_o

Gorgeous Mermaid Princess Minami ♥ Another Pureneemo that I'm super excited about x) She looks really beautiful~

Sera~ These photos helped me decide that I don't need the red-haired (standard) version, instead I'm going for the black-haired exclusive version >3< I just prefer the cute smiling mouth~

There are also pictures of the older Otogi no Kuni releases, this page features Tsukiha and Sorane :)

The magazine has many sewing patterns and instructions, as well as some tips for customizing

These Kinoko Juice dolls are so cute ;___; I wish the resin Kinoko Juice dolls weren't so hard to get or that Azone would co-operate more with Kinoko Juice and release versions of these dolls too... I'm sure they'd be very popular on the international market.

♥♥♥

Apparently they're also a bit smaller than Kiki, how cute is that! ;3;

There were a few Dollfie Dream photos too and some sewing instructions for them~

These are just a few of my picks from the magazine, there's a lot more to see :) Even though the magazine is in Japanese and I hardly understand any of it, I enjoy looking at the photos and I'm sure the patterns will be useful as well!

    1. There are so many gorgeous dolls in this magazine for sure! ♥ I need to keep my eye on the future issues of this magazine, in case there's something that interests me :3 I'd really love to get my hands on one of those Kinoko Juice kitties, but I have no idea how that'd be possible since they're only sold in Japan :/

  2. how cool!!! I would totally buy a doll magazine if they had sewing patterns for dolls I have XD! though this one seems to have more azone and other dolls than BJDs ? As for the amount of pages I can understand, I remember manga and fashion magazines in Japan have a lot of pages too~ even more than this. I find that super cool!

    1. This issue was mainly focused on Azones, but there were also patterns for other dolls and even some for BJDs! I think each Dollybird issue focuses on different dolls :) That's true about manga and Japanese fashion magazines having lots of pages! It feels a bit weird since here in Finland magazines are quite flat XD

  3. What a great magazine to come across! I'd be afraid that looking through it would cause me to go on a shopping spree afterwards, but I love seeing all those photos!

    1. Se on <3 Taitaa aikamoinen Minami-armeija rantautua Suomeen >:3 Nuo Kinoko Juicen kissat on ihan supersöpöjä, hitsi kun nuo resiiniversiot on vain Japanissa myynnissä ja vaikuttavat olevan vaikeita saada...

  5. I love Japanese magazines! Their way of styling magazines is like walking into a fairytale *___*

    1. I definitely agree, Japanese magazines look so pretty and much nicer than the magazines here in Finland...
      I try to be picky with the new Azone releases, so that my crew wouldn't grow too much ^^; They're all so pretty though, so it's hard to choose...

    1. They surely are! I don't have much experience on sewing with patterns that I haven't made myself, so we'll see if I understand how to use them correctly ^^;

  7. Must-resist-adorable-azone-bug, argh I really want one (or rather an army!!). And I somewhat blame you :P Your wonderful pictures of your girls has gotten me obsessed. But in a good way, I have to mention, so it's not mean in a mean way <3

    It's the same with figure collecting. I had -never- considered it, until I saw pics of your Love Live figures. Then I watched Love Live shortly after, and well, it didn't end well. xD

    Please don't get new awesome, expensive hobbies you can lure me into indirectly >w< haha

    1. Hahah XD Everyone should have an army of Azones, or at least one! Though they do seem to have the tendency to invite more and more friends over... Maybe one day you'll bump into an Azone release that you won't be able to resist ;)

      Oh my, guess I'm to blame for many things then hahah XD Figure collecting can be quite addictive and bad to the wallet, especially if you're into some series that's popular and gets many figure releases. There's always so much new stuff of Love Live coming out... I try to focus just on Nozomi and a few of my other favorites, instead of collecting everything ^^;

      I'm pretty sure that dolls and figure are all that I can handle, so no worries! XD
